Ron Bulmer will present an overview of the International Harvester Company and its local plant in Hamilton. Ron Bulmer has lived in Ancaster for 42 years, and worked for IH/Case IH for over 35 years. He has been involved in many community organizations and projects.

Robert B. Kristofferson: The Craftsworker Diaries of Andrew McIlwraith
Rob Kristofferson is an Associate Professor of History and Contemporary Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University.
He is the author of Craft Capitalism: Craftsworkers and Industrialization in Hamilton, Ontario, 1840–1872 (Toronto: University of Toronto Press, 2007), winner of the Canadian Historical Association 2008 Clio Award (Ontario).
His latest book, More of a Man: Diaries of a Scottish Craftsworker in Mid-Nineteenth Century North America, co-authored with Andrew C. Holman, will be the focus of his presentation to the Dundas Valley Historical Society.
Guest speaker: our own author Jean Rae Baxter UE who will speak on her award winning book ‘Broken Trail’ and the launch of the 3rd book in her Loyalist history trilogy – ‘Freedom Bound’, launching in Feb. 2012. The first book was entitled ‘The Way Lies North’.
