David Hill Kanowakeron Morrison UE passed away on October 16, 2024.
Ruth Nicholson UE, Hamilton Branch Co-President, had this to say about David:
We are saddened to hear of the recent death of long-time Central West Councillor David Hill Morrison UE. David attended most of our national conferences and attended executive meetings faithfully. He assisted with our Hamilton conference in 2013. At conferences, David always drove behind the bus incase some mishap occurred and he would then transport the person to the hospital. We saw this happen at one East Coast conference.
David approached me to support the creation of an Honorary Fellow position to bring Nathan Tidridge into this special recognition with UELAC. This happened.
David was the IT person for the Grand River Branch. He took care of their website and Facebook site.
When confronted with a challenging issue, I’d always communicate with David first, He was wise, balanced and eloquent.
He was the seventh Great Grandson of Joseph Brant. David will be greatly missed.
